What is the Nursery's policy on illness? |
|
Our nursery promotes a healthy lifestyle and high standard of hygiene in its day to day work with children and staff. From time to time illness is impossible to avoid, we therefore ask parents to keep their children at home if they have any infection and to inform the nursery as to the nature of the infection so that we can alert other parents and make careful observations of any child who seems unwell. Parents are asked not to bring into nursery any child who has been vomiting or had diarrhoea until at least 24hrs have elapsed since the last attack. Similarly, if a child has been given anti-biotic medicine they should not be brought to nursery until at least 24 hours have elapsed since their first dose.
Calpol is available to be administered by staff through the day, upon parents consent, should a child fall ill while in our care.
