Who is my key person? What is their role? |
|
When you start with us and each time your child moves to a new room in the nursery you will be introduced to your new key person. Their role is to be responsible for a small group of children in their base room, keeping observations and assessment processes up to date and inputting what they've learnt about each child into future planning. They are a familiar adult for your child to come to at nursery and will be the person who carries out the more intimate care routines for the younger children. They are also the initial point of contact between you and the nursery. Twice a year we host a parents evening where you will be able to make an appointment to see your key person to discuss your child's time at nursery with us. The key person is chosen by your own child.
